What is an air source heat pump?
An air source heat pump normally looks like an air conditioning unit. It is usually placed outside at the side or back of the property and can be installed with little disruption.

There are three types of air source heat pump:

Air to water: These pumps utilise a wet central heating system.
Air to air: These pumps take air from outside the house and feed this into fans.
Hybrid: These systems use both air source heat pumps and a traditional gas boiler, and switches between them based on various factors such as season and temperature. The energy management software allows your energy tariffs to be uploaded, enabling the system to work out which heat source is the most efficient at any given time. Hybrids are truly the best of both worlds.
